Oh how I love the Target Portrait Studio!! Mara got her pictures taken on Monday afternoon and I got the email with pictures this morning! They always do a great job and the pictures look wonderful! I just can't believe how big Mara is now! Especially how much her hair has grown in the last year. (I will find her pictures from last year and post a comparison)

Let's Go Fly A Kite!
Karri gave the kids kites for Easter, so last night we went to the field at the elementary school to see if we could get them to fly.
Xander was doing awesome!!!

I've Been Crafty
The past week & 1/2 I have been really craft and finished some projects that I have been putting off for awhile, some that I just decided that I wanted to do, and one that I have been working on for 2 months.
First off: During Conference I sewed 2 baby blankets for my friend Shelene who is having twin girls soon. This is the first time I have ever made blankets with minky fabric. I thought that it was going to be really hard but it turned out to be fairly easy! Now I don't think I'll go back to making blankets with only flannel. They turned out so cute! I love them! (Thanks for the pattern Andrea!!)
Here is the detail of the edging:
I used the extra minky and made little burp cloths that matched the blankets. Now I have technically made 4 of this pattern and I'm loving it!
Last Tuesday I finished a cross stitch of Sleeping Beauty's Castle that I have been working on since mid January. Once I get in the mood to cross stitch I feel like I can't go a day without working on it. A few days after I finished this one I started one of Cinderella's Castle! They match and are going to hang in Mara's room someday (when I get them framed).
Last Thursday I decided to get some of my painting projects done and the kids wanted to help! Earlier I had been at the craft store and Xander picked out a wooden dinosaur that he wanted to paint (it was on 25 cents!)
While I was painting one piece of wood, Mara started on the other one for me. Good thing I wanted it pink!!
Finished Dinosaur
I bought this saying from Uppercase Living along with the board. I love it!
I also got this cute little saying from Uppercase Living.
I just barely finished this one: I cut out the dresses on my Cricut using the 2 Disney Princess cartridges. They are each 8 1/2 inches, and I Mod Podged them on a 12x12 canvas. The Cinderella was the first one I put on so it bubbled a bit, but that's what happens when you do things yourself. Now I just need to find a place for them on Mara's wall!!
Now the only project I need to work on is my scrapbook. Oh wait, I need to start the yearly calendar for my mother-in-law, I guess the scrapbook is going to wait a little longer.
