Snakes & Waterfalls

On Wednesday when we were at my Grandma's house, Pat found a small snake in her backyard, caught it, and put it in a jar. Xander was loving having it but we decided to go up to Bridal Veil Falls and let it go that night.
Our attempt at a family picture.
The kids had a great time throwing rocks into the water, and it was nice to do something as a family before school started (not like we won't be able to, but you know what I mean).

Another Day, Another Skirt!

Here's my 3rd skirt for Mara. This one is by far my favorite.

I Think He's Ready For Sports

Too bad we missed the baseball season.
At least there's time for him to fine-tune his skills :)

Miss Watanabe

We met Xander's Kindergarten teacher at Back-To-School night. Xander was able to explore his classroom and is super excited for school to start. Too bad he has to wait another week. I'm SO ready for him to be in school.

I Found Something I Love To Do!!

Make Skirts!!!
This is the first one that I made. I used a 1/2 yard of fabric, made a tube, put a hem in, and elastic! It was very quick and easy.
This is my second one. I bought 5 Fat Quarters of fabric and pieced them together. I couldn't remember how to make ruffles, so I googled it.
I love how they turned out and I'm proud of myself because I didn't have a pattern for either of them! I have fabric to make 2 more tiered skirts and I'm going to try to make them 5 tiers instead of 3. So we'll see how that goes.

Family Fun

The whole Ramey family went out to breakfast on Saturday the 15th to Golden Corral. It was really nice to do something together as a family that was outside of Mom's house.

This Blog Is Brought To You By:

Ever since I made the princess pictures for Mara I have wanted to do something for Xander's wall and couldn't decide what to do. I had purchased the Cars Cricut cartridge a few months ago and finally decided to pull it out yesterday and get to work on stuff for him. I did the Rust-eze last night and the Dinoco today. I'm glad that this was a fast project, those are always my favorite.
(The designs are 9 inches and Mod Podged onto a 12x12 canvas)

We Have a Rocker In The House

(Too bad I won't let her play with it when the game's on)

I Love My Husband

Pat took the kids to the "duck park" while I had Activity Days on Wednesday. I slipped him the camera as he left and told him to take pictures if anything fun happened. And he did!!!
Thanks for indulging me sweetie, I love you!!!

Forts Are Fun

I helped the kids make a fort on Monday morning, and we had it up until Wednesday morning. We used all of the stools from the kitchen, 8 blankets from my mom's closet, and a bunch of tape :)
Oh, the joys of being a kid.
