A Week Long Birthday!

Last Tuesday we had Pat's parents over for dinner and they brought Xander his birthday gifts (since they were going out of town) Mara was such a good sister by helping him open his gifts :)

He got an awesome Lego set, a GI Joe T-Shirt and Transformers PJ's. Grandpa even helped Xander put most if it together!!!!
Thanks again Grandma & Grandpa. We Love You!!!!
On Wednesday Night we took the kids to the new Pirate Island!!

It's decorated so well that it makes you feel like you stepped right into the Pirates of the Caribbean!!!

They even give the kids free tokens :)

After we ate, we headed over to the arcade and Xander took part in his favorite game: Ski ball!

After Pirate Island we took the kids and Noah to the dollar theater to see the new Harry Potter. Noah loved it, Xander fell asleep at the end and Mara was an absolute MESS!!!!!! I will never take her to a movie again!!!!!!!

Friday morning (his actual birthday), Pat had to go to work early, so we pulled out the presents while I was still in bed! And he got yet another Lego!!

That afternoon I took him to see my friend Stefanie and get his hair cut!

I love the spiky look, too bad his hair is thick like mine so it lays flat within an hour!

After Pat got out of work, we gave him our last present. Yes, a Lego set!

After dinner we headed out to Pat's brother Morri's house. We watched Land of the Lost and had ice cream shakes :) And Xan got another Lego :)

Sunday was the Ramey family birthday celebration. My sister Karri loves making cakes and let Xander take charge of the cake :)

He got his last Lego set and a Snuggie & some clothes from my mom. A ton of Star Wars stuff from Karri, the movie Monsters VS Aliens from JD & Chris.

The Big 6!!!

I can't believe it's been 6 years since this little boy came into our lives. I've made it easier for myself and just picked pictures from the past Octobers. It's amazing how fast kids grow.

It's Been Awhile

I've realized the past few weeks that I haven't really felt like I needed to take pictures of anything. Life here has been fairly routine. Xander LOVES school and is excited to go everyday, Mara is Mara, she loves playing with her princess toys and watching princess movies. Pat has school Monday & Tuesday nights for the semester and I've been watching my friends daughter during the days while she's in school. So, we're keeping busy. Here are a few pictures I've found that I never posted.

A Sneak Peek at Halloween:

I am an Activity Days leader in my ward for the 8 & 9 year old girls. In September we went to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple and did a little photo shoot. I love my girls and they keep me on my toes.

We went to our Cabin on Conference Sunday and because of the storm, we closed it up for the winter. It's always sad when this happens because we love to go there, but it's totally non-accessible in the winter, so we'll be back in the Spring.
On October 1st, I got my Cricut out and made this banner and cut out some fun things for our kitchen window.

Oh ya, I don't really feel like posting pictures, but we (meaning my mom) had to get a new dishwasher and flooring in the kitchen because the old dishwasher was leaking. It all took about 2+ weeks to get it ripped up, dried out, and installed. I'm just happy that the kitchen is back in working condition :)

Hopefully I'll start taking more pictures soon. Until then....

Matchy Matchy

I almost finished the skirts for my nieces today and luckily they came over for a bit tonight and I was able to measure the elastic and finished them up! Then it was time for a photoshoot :)

They turned out perfect :)

I Did It Again!!!

Skirt #6 - I'm calling it the 'Rick Rack Skirt'

Mara wasn't too happy because I made her change and go outside for pictures. She was crying the whole time, but I was able to get a 'fake' smile out of her.

My niece Addi turned 6 yesterday and I made a skirt for her!!!! She's much taller then Mara, and I thought that I adjusted the length just right, but it turned out REALLY LONG! It's a good thing that she's so skinny and has more growing to do :) She loved it anyway!! Showing off that it twirls really well :) Two Cute Girls!
I think I'm done making skirts for Mara for awhile, unless I find fabric that I can't live without, because I have a bunch of other sewing projects that I want to work on. But I am making matching skirts (of the pink flowers) for Conli & Sawyer. I can't wait to see them all together.
But I am always willing to make some for friends!!! So just let me know ;)

The Crystal King

Xander has been wanting this Lego set for a few months. He does chores and gets money at the end of each week (about $1.50 on average). We went to Walmart a few weeks ago and asked him if he wanted to bring his money to get something. After counting it, he decided that he wanted to keep saving. Well, Toys R Us is doing a great sale on Legos this week (buy 2 get the 3rd free) so we picked up a few things for his birthday and got this one for him too. He was so excited for it, but we told him that he had to pay for it, even though he didn't get it at the store by himself. So we counted up his quarters, and added some dollar bills from Easter that we have been keeping for him, and he had exact change!!! I'm so proud of him for setting a goal and meeting it!! Yeah, this was only a $20 Lego set, but he knows that he earned it all by himself!!

Puddle Jumping

A week ago we had a fairly good storm come through and after dinner my mom went outside with Mara & Xander and did a little puddle jumping. Afterwards mom told me that it was refreshing!! I'm just excited for it to be fall soon. I don't much like winter, but I LOVE FALL!!

BTW: this is my 300th post :)

My friend Andrea saw this skirt on a little girl and got the instructions on how to make it. So here's my finished product.

Ramey R&R

We were able to go to the cabin Saturday night and stay overnight with Karri & my mom. While there Pat put up the new sign for the entrance to the cabin. Here's Mara being a good helper.

I love being able to go to our cabin but we haven't gone as much as we wanted to this year :( So we're planning on going a bunch more before the weather turns cold.
