September 2013

On August 23rd, this amazing lady passed away, Ethel Sucfronia Poulton.  She was such a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was always happy and loving. Always wanting to hear about your life and what made you happy.  I had the pleasure to help her on a few of her quilts through the years, and even up to a few weeks before she passed.
She was buried in Colorado next to her husband Gail. And we were able to attend.

We traveled with most of Pat's family, which was great to be able to spend time with all of them.
The one thing the kids thought was funny was that the fire hydrants were different colors than the ones at home!

Jaina all dressed up for the funeral.

Our handsome Xander.

Beautiful Mara.

My 3 cuties.

This is one of my all time favorite family pictures, even with the huge belly!

Pat, Ben, Morri, Tammy, Roger, Gwen & Lana

On the way home, we stopped by the Colorado River and got our toes wet.

Grandma & Mara

September 7th: Salt Lake Comic Con
This was the very first Comic Con for Salt Lake City. We went up for 1 day but had a blast.
Xander cosplayed as The Doctor

Waiting outside of the Salt Palace. It was hot and a LONG wait.

The awesome Lego display.

We found the Tardis!!!!

Pat was able to meet some of his favorite authors

And we met Nicholas Brendan from Buffy!!
His character is Xander's namesake!

Me and my geeky boys!

Mara and her best friend Emma Macdonald.

This one still needed to nap but never would, so she still falls asleep in weird places. ie: Walmart

And her bedroom floor.

But she loves to play with play-dough.

And nap with mom.

My cousin Megan and I were best friends growing up and we were able to be pregnant together and only due a few weeks apart!  My 4th and her 1st.

While I was at Swiss Days, daddy took the kids to the park and sent me this picture.
I sure love these kids.

August 2013

Mara decided that it would be fun to do a makeover on Jaina with her makeup that we got at Disneyland.  They were SO excited to show me, and Jaina was in heaven.

Yet another day at Seven Peaks. Here is Jaina and her crew in front of her favorite water slide.

It's so fun to be able to be with family during the summer.
Addi, Alex, Mara, Jaina & Maddox

Even Karri and Mana came to play with us!!

Gotta love littles with sunglasses.

Another day we went to Seven Peaks Salt Lake with Karri & Lisa (& kids)

These 3 are inseparable.

And the 2 littles. They liked each other that day.

Jaina no longer naps, so it's always interesting when I find her asleep in odd places.
At least she made it onto her bed.

We love going to Nickel Mania and having fun rides.

Playing with Daddy,

And getting prizes.

Once again, falling asleep in funny positions.

While working in the garden, Daddy found a Cicada.
The kids were in awe!

Yet another Seven Peaks day.

While pregnant, I tried to nap as much as I could.  But these girls couldn't handle being away from me and HAD to wake me up and cuddle.

Also, these 2 LOVE their Aunt Karri, and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual.

Went to visit Daddy at his school and the girls (mainly Mara) decided to draw him a picture.

Finally! The First Day Of School!!
Xander starting 4th grade

Mara starting 2nd grade.

Jaina had to get her picture taken also, even though she wasn't properly dressed.

We went to Trafalga in Lehi for a last hurrah before school started.
Jaina loves mini golf, but still can't really play it.

Addi, Xander, and Pat on the climbing wall.

Mara even climbed too!

Xander at the TOP!!!!

Just a cute picture of our crazy one.

I'm glad that Mara knows car safety and made sure Zuma was buckled in too!
