July 2014 Swim Lessons & Children's Parade

I love being able to attend the Temple with my Eternal Companion.
It has helped us become closer to each other and to be better parents.
We have made it a goal to go every month and it's been great!

Mana was watching the kids while we were at the temple and they had too much
fun filling the couch with all the Beanie Babies, and included our baby!

Melody is starting to have some drive and determination. She tried so hard to get this water bottle
and worked at it for a good 5 minutes until she finally got it and was very proud of herself.

Xander and Mara had swim lessons again and were doing great at it.

The last day of class was a pass off/free day and they let the parents
come to the sides of the pool and take pictures.

Xander was doing great with his long swim.

Mara dove off the diving board and was so happy that she did it!

For Spanish Fork's Fiesta Days, they have a children's parade the weekend before the 24th.  This year the theme was 'We love our city' and our ward's primary had a 'float'. We had come up with 'We Love Our Windy City'. Our float looked like a typical yard with tumble weeds, over turned trampolines and garbage cans with trash every where. The kids had pinwheels and were able to ride bikes and scooters.

This was Jaina's first time in the parade and she absolutely loved it and loved her pinwheel.

July 2014 Salem Pond

To get a few more brag tags we spent an afternoon at Salem pond.

We fed the ducks.

Played in the pond.

Had fun jumping into the pond with dad.

Then stopped for a picnic.

Then fed more ducks.

We headed over to the bridge too.

It was a fun day and we look forward to doing this again.

July 2014 Swimming Fun

One of my close friends from High School, Annika, came into town from California which called for a girls lunch!  It was so great to see her and catch up with the girls.

We recently got rid of cable, to save money. So we signed up for Hulu, to be able to watch our favorite TV shows. But that meant that we would have to watch them on the iPad.  I thought it was cute that Pat and the kids were huddled around it to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Melody has started to become mobile, but she only ends up pushing herself backwards.
She wasn't too happy to end up under our bed.

Or under the kitchen table.

Mana had a work party at her bosses house and invited us to come with her along with Karri..  It was a BBQ and swimming.  The kids are always excited to swim somewhere new.

Melody and I opted to stay dry. She was so tired but wouldn't sleep because of all the people there.

Xander and Mara have been in swim lessons again this summer. Mara has been doing great, but still nervous to use the diving board. So after a lot of bribing, with money and shopping, by Mana & Karri, Mara finally decided it was okay to try it as long as dad was there to catch her.

She did it and actually like it!! Then she did it at least 4 more times!

Xander LOVES the diving board.

And Jaina is our little adventurer and just dove right in.

One morning while Pat and I slept in, we woke to find Xander was building a tower with our plastic cups.

Right as he was about to put on the last cup, it fell!  But I was lucky enough to get it on video.

Another brag tag: CrAzY hAiR

Karri came with us one evening to Seven Peaks and brought her camera again.

Thanks for the fun Karri!!
