October 2014 - Part 3

Melody is really loving to explore and play.

I finally finished this cross stitch that I started September 2009!! It took me over 5 years to complete.

Last year Mara fell down and had to get stitches. Here is what her scar looks like a year later.

The kids love making towers for Melody to knock down, and this time
she really wanted the stuffed dog on top.

Melody is FINALLY getting more teeth, at 11 months old her top two are coming in.

Just a fun trip to Costco.

Mara painted this picture at school when they were learning about pointillism.
She chose a paper with an outline and painted it how she wanted.
This is like a painting by Georges Seurat that I love!
So I put this in a frame and it's hanging on the wall.

We had a friends get together at our house with spouses and kids.
It was great for all these guys to be together again.
Crazy that it's been 15 years since we graduated high school.

Jaina has started being a big helper when it comes to Melody and
this day she really wanted to help feed her lunch.

I have had this fabric for at least 3-5 years with the intention of making Thanksgiving place mats with turkeys on them. Well, we never use place mats and I really wanted to make a quilt. So I looked up some patterns on Pinterest and made this Disappearing 9 Patch quilt. It only took me a few days to get the top done and I love how it turned out. I had enough fabric to make a table runner too!

October 2014 - Xander's 11th Birthday

Xander's birthday was over the fall break from school, so we were able to
hang out as a family and do some fun things.
We started the day with presents!

Mara made him a really cute card.

We gave him a Guardians of the Galaxy Lego set, some Mixels Legos and a Venom Vinylmation.

That afternoon we had a little birthday party with family at the Lehi Trafalga.
These girls just love the Frogger ride.

Xander and Cody did the rock wall.

The girls did almost every ride there!

Xander and his cousins!
Jeremy, Noah, Alex, Xander, Cody
Maddox, & Max

Daddy & Jaina, Addi & Mara, and Maddox rode the bumper boats.

Olivia was my friend but it only lasted a few minutes. She is such a busy little girl.

These three got SOAKED!

It was so nice having family come to be with us to celebrate Xander's birthday!

Jaina just loves these boys and they love her too.

After Trafalga we went to dinner with the Ramey side and the only picture I got was of
Xander and his giant rootbeer float. We headed home and Max spent the night.

The next day we went to Nickel Mania where all the games cost a nickel.
The kids LOVE going here especially Jaina.

We even got Xander's birthday ice cream from Cold Stone.

That Sunday we had our family birthday celebration at Mana's house.
Xander got the movie Edge of Tomorrow from JD & Chris.

Max was having fun and making it rain down money on Xander!

More Minecraft books from Mana.

Minecraft Lego set

Technic Lego Set

Karri got him these Star Wars Disneyland pins!

And another Minecraft Lego set

He wanted his cake to be themed after one of his favorite iPod games: Geometry Dash

Mana also got him his Deadmau5 hat.

Just a cute picture of Daddy chasing Melody.

Xander and one of his completed Minecraft sets.

October 2014 - Cabin Time

Melody loves to play at the railing on our hallway/landing. One morning before the
kids went to school she was laughing and playing with them.

I finally realized that Jaina's hair was thick enough for me to actually braid it,
so we did braids like Anna from Frozen.

We got the house all decorated for Halloween and the girls did the window.
Melody loved looking at everything.

The first weekend of October we went to the cabin to close it with Mana and she
brought Max, Conli and Sawyer with her so the kids had a great time together.

Max is turning into his dad. He had to get the biggest bowl he could find
and fill it to the brim with cereal. YUM!

There is a crib at the cabin that has been fantastic to use. I love not having to worry about packing one.

I wanted to get fun fall pictures with the kids and they turned out really cute.

Even did some of these three!

The view from the deck.

When we got home I was able to rock Melody to sleep, which doesn't happen
very often any more. So I cherish every moment of it.

Melody was getting bored of her toys so we pulled out all the Little People and she was happy for a long time!

She is also starting to eat more solid food and loves it. She still only has 1 tooth though.

Now with the real braiding I was able to do hair like Elsa from Frozen.

Mara had a Daddy/Daughter date for Activity Days and it was a dress up one.
She was a beauty queen and dad was her security guard!

At 11 months old Melody was finally growing out of the jammies that Karri modified from Christmas when she was 6 weeks old. It's so crazy that she was able to wear the same clothes for 10 months!

Every so often I'm able to catch the beauty of this earth. I absolutely love sunsets!
