April 2015 - Mara's 9th Birthday

Usually Karri will take 'orders' for the kids birthday cakes, but this year Mara wanted to decorate her own cake. We celebrated her birthday at Mana's on Easter, so we got there early so she could work on the cake.

She was so excited to get earrings!!

Karri took her to Color Me Mine and they painted ceramic figures and bowls.

JD & Chris gave her the 'new' Annie.  She watched it at least 10 times in the first week.

Mana and Mara had a craft day and decorated boxes that she can use to store special things.

On her actual birthday I decorated with the birthday banner and crepe paper.

Then it was time for presents.

Xander spent his own money and gave her Pokemon cards!

We gave her an Ever After High book.

That night we went out to Red Robin for dinner with Mana & Karri. She was so happy to get a shake!

The next day we went to Grandma & Grandpa's house for dessert night and she got a Lego Elves set.

I got my yearly selfie with the birthday girl.

April 2015 - Spring Break

It's so fun to have Pat home during school holidays. We didn't have any major 

plans for spring break so we just did what the kids wanted to do. 

We headed to Orem and played at a park near Morri and Liza. 

It was windy and a bit cold so we didn't stay too long. 

That night we left the kids with Grandma and Grandpa and we 

headed to dinner at Yamato to celebrate our anniversary. 

Mara lost tooth #10 this week!

We have wanted to go to the Museum of Natural Curiousity at Thanksgivng Point for awhile. 

So we planned a day that family could come with us and headed up first thing.

We went with Morri & family, Lana & family, and Gwen & family. 

Melody was happy with the little kid areas because they had balls!

This was the first time that she did a slide by herself. Going up the stairs and down the slide alone.

By the time we got to the water area Melody was pretty tired, so she wasn't too happy playing at the table.

I just loved her little feet hanging down under the table. 

We headed home well after she was supposed to nap, so this was the first time 

she fell asleep in the car in her new car seat and while drinking her bottle. 

On another day Mara wanted to go to Nickel Mania as part of her 

upcoming birthday. It's always great to get to play with cousins. 

These boys combined their ticket and it was over 1000!

April 2015 - Easter

Karri gave us this puzzle and I was super excited about it because it's one of my most favorite paintings!

Just messing around in Walmart.

The new Payson Temple was finally complete and was going to have the open house in a few weeks. Since it was conference weekend we decided to go check it out. I can't wait to be able to go inside!

Easter was also our 13th Anniversary!

We put our puzzle up on the wall in the front room. I just love how it looks.

It was finally Easter morning and the kids were so excited.

We headed to Mana's for her annual Easter Egg Hunt. 

Everyone had gone outside and Melody wasn't too happy about being left inside. 

These kids are ready to go hunting. 

In the past all the eggs had names on them, but it made it difficult for the kids that couldn't 

read. So this year Mana assigned them all different colors and it was perfect!!

Then it was time for the counting!

These kids are so spoiled by Mana and Karri and get a bunch of fun stuff along with about $20 each!

Mana needed a bunny ear picture with all the kids.
