May 2015 - Camp Out

For Scouts, Xander had to go on a camp out. Pat planned to go with him but we didn't have
any camping gear besides sleeping bags. So we bought a 5 person tent. Pat put it up in the
house so he would know what to do for the actual camp out.
Pat doesn't like camping, but he went for Xander.

The girls thought it was really fun!

The day came for the camping. They went to the Diamond Fork camp grounds.

They made scrambled eggs in bags and put them in boiling water.

While the boys were camping, I took the girls up to Mana's to hang out and have dinner.

We went to Culver's and Melody thought it was fun to put the number on her head.

Afterwards we went to Target for some fun shopping and dress up.

May 2015 - Mother's Day/End of Year Programs

We were able to celebrate Mother's day with Mana
Here's all her grandkids

We were also able to visit with Grandma Tolman and wished her a Happy Mother's day.

Mana and Karri had recently been to Disneyland and brought back little gifts for the kids.
Melody got a baby Rapunzel!!

She loved it so much that she even wrapped it up and rocked and sang to her.

One day she just grabbed her blanket and cuddled up on the couch

While Jaina was playing Mario Galaxy, Melody grabbed the chair pillow and settled right in to watch her play.

I usually only put Melody on the stools to do her hair, but
now she likes to eat there too. It makes her look so big.

Melody really likes books and will sit and look at them all over the house.

There was one day when I was busy making dinner and Melody got into the baby wipes
and was wiping her nose with them all.  It was really cute and easy to clean up.

Ever since Mana pushed her around in the doll stroller, she loves to just chill in it.

Mara had her end of year program and did great. She was lucky this
year to have her good friend Livvy Greer in her class finally.

Mara and Miss Porter

At Xander's program they had a little graduation ceremony and read everyone's names.

Mana was able to come to see his program.

May 2015 - Week 1 - Xander State Fair

On May 2nd, my niece Sawyer was baptized. It was wonderful to be there for her that day. We love you!

On May 3rd I was released from being the Primary President in our ward. I kinda knew it was coming. In July it would have been 3 years since I was called, and my 2nd counselor was called into the Stake Primary Presidency. I was privileged to be able to teach Sharing Time that day and bear my testimony to the kids. I made sure to get a picture with all of them too. I am really going to miss this calling and seeing all their happy faces each week, hearing them sing with all their might and feeling the spirit from their testimonies.

The next day Jaina thought she was pretty funny and was trying on everyones shoes.
Here she's wearing daddy's shoes.

And then Melody's shoes!

Xander lost yet another tooth!  Seriously, this kid went over 2 years without
any lost teeth, and now this is number 2 or 3 in a few months. This time
it fell out while eating dinner. He took a bite of noodles and it
just popped out! He's lucky he didn't swallow it.

Melody has been making the cutest smiley face lately and I was trying to get a picture
of it, but when I turned on my phone she was just wanting to look at herself.

Xander had a State Fair project where he had to research and present the state of New York.

He designed a T-shirt, drew and colored their flag.

Made a map of the state.

Made a brochure with facts from New York.

Made a timeline of important events in the history of New York.

Then he had to have an interactive question and answer in a box

He really lucked out because he already had the Lego set of the
United Nations Headquarters so he put that in the box.

He even dressed up like J. Robert Oppenheimer the creator of the Atomic Bomb and had a short speech as if he was him.

I was able to go to the Payson Temple Openhouse with Mara and the Activity
Days girls because I was called to be one of their new leaders.  It was so great
to be able to walk through this beautiful temple again with my sweet girl.

Melody like to 'help' me do laundry by wearing socks on her hands.

And underwear on her head!

I just thought she was cute when she was looking at the Leapster while lying on the floor.
