Annual Ramey Family Egg Hunt

I was able to take Xander and Mara to the Provo City Center Temple dedication on
March 20th. It was really cool to witness it (from our stake center) and I
felt the spirit so much. I can't wait to be able to serve in that historic building.

Since Brent & Lisa were going to be gone on Easter, we had our Annual Egg Hunt a week early.

All through dinner, Melody just wanted to go in the 'ard' and didn't eat much of her
dinner. Once we were all outside, she didn't want to stand still for any
pictures either. She was the first one to find an egg and was ready for the hunt.

Here's all the kids ready to go, plus Karri, so Melody would be in the picture.

Each child is assigned a color, which is really nice and much better than when they were all labeled
with names years ago.  Xander was Orange, Mara was Light Blue, Jaina was Pink and Melody was Red.

Since Melody doesn't know her colors yet, she was picking up anything that she saw.

We slowly distributed the eggs to their proper owner and filled her basket with red ones.

Here's Jaina, the only one on that side of the yard with all those eggs!

I love that Xander wore the bunny ears the whole time.

Pat would find red eggs then throw them in front of Melody so she could put them in her basket.

Max and Xander were trying to do tricks with their eggs.

This was a response to 'show me your eggs!'

I was wanting a family picture and was hollering to her to come
here, but she just said 'no' in the sweetest voice and walked off.

I was able to get a cute pic of the kids, but Melody was more concerned with stealing Xander's eggs.

Then his bucket tipped over and she was the first one to help put them back.

These kids are spoiled and get a bunch of money in their eggs.

Bunny ears selfies!!!

Melody just wanted to put the money back in and shake it around.

We spent some time in the front yard and she decided to find rocks and line them up on the porch.

It was a great Egg Hunt and I'm thankful that we have these family traditions that the kids love so much.

Mid March

Mara and Jaina were playing Mario Party on the Wii and Melody wanted to join
in. So she promptly found our remote control (that we use as a toy now) and
sat down to play along with them. She even got upset when they lost!

I love being able to see the crazy ways that Melody sleeps, and I've come
to notice that she likes to have her head completely covered by her blanket.

The kids had Parents and Pastries at school. I came with them
before school, we had some donuts, and did some reading.

Melody LOVED her donut and to prove it, it was all over her!!

Pat and I were able to do Temple night at Timpanogos. I really love being able to serve in these
amazing temples. We are so lucky to have (almost) 4 within 30 minutes of us.

We decided to buy a new computer, because the disc drive on ours had died. We use it quite
often, so we knew we needed to upgrade. Also because our computer was 7 years old and
the OS was out of date and programs were not longer able to update. So to get
ready for the new computer, we organized our computer desk, and I found these cute
drawings. They were drawn by Mara of course. She has always been such and artist.

Here is her and Xander on the swings.

Me and Mara blowing bubbles.

Xander, Jaina, Mara and Me outside with ladybugs.

The kids had a day off of school and we just hung out, so that morning the girls
went outside to blow bubbles and Melody wanted to join them. So I
grabbed my camera (per Mara's request) and took some fun pictures.

It had been awhile since I did Melody's hair 'fancy', so I made sure to document it.

This big girl knows how to climb the ladder and go down the slide all by herself, and she loves it!!

Then she found some sidewalk chalk that hadn't been cleaned up and started to draw on the driveway.

Meanwhile, Mara and Jaina were having a grand time with the bubbles.

Melody finally wanted to blow some of her own, but she doesn't quite understand
how to do it yet, so she was putting the wand in her mouth, yuck!!

Melody had started to eat corn-dogs for lunch and loves them!
It always surprises me when she eats something new.

Melody's bottles finally died and I was nervous about her being willing to drink milk from
a cup, because she had refused it earlier. So we did the flavor trick and gave her pink
milk, which she wasn't too happy with, but she really took a liking to chocolate milk! So
this was the first time she had chocolate milk before her nap. It made me so happy.

That night we went up to Orem to meet up with Pat after he had a conference in Salt
Lake, we went to dinner at Arby's and Melody wasn't interested in her dinner
at all, but she did love the 'chepah' and drank a bunch of that for dinner. Gross!!!

That next day, we wanted to take the kids to see Kung Fu Panda 3 at the Watergardens, because of
Melody we split up and went in shifts. Jaina and I went together then Pat took Xander and Mara. We
loved the movie and it was really fun to have this one on one time with her and make memories.
