July 17-22, 2016 - Salem Pond / Dentist / Payson Pool / Swim Lessons

On Sunday morning's Jaina will walk to church with Pat and Xander then I will bring
Mara and Melody in the car. This particular day, Mara let Melody sit in Jaina's booster
seat and that made Melody so so so happy!  She looks way too big and I don't like it.

After church we decided to go to Salem pond and try hunting some Pokemon. It didn't work out
too well for us, but we did have fun feeding the ducks and walking around, even in the July heat!

I love that Pat reads books to the girls at bed time.
It's something that they look forward to every night.

So, we are back at the dentist. She took her pill before the appointment. I was hoping that
it would have kicked in really well before we got there but it didn't. So it took some
convincing to get her to lay down, but once she decided it was okay, she did great! I'm
glad that she had her Minnie, Mickey and India with her to help with the nervousness.

After she was done, she had a hard time walking straight, and kept falling down or
running into the walls. It was so sad and funny at the same time. We made it home and
she said she felt tired, but she couldn't fall asleep. I put a movie on for her but that
didn't help. Finally, hours and hours later she fell asleep on the couch. She was so OUT
that we ended up putting her to bed very early, and she slept all night. It was amazing.

We took the littles to the mall and splurged on the carousel. They loved it.

I found out it was a family night at the Payson pool, so we loaded up and headed
down there. Sadly it was kinda overcast and cold (which seems to be the case every
time we go there), but we still had fun.  We even ran into our neighbors The Prigmore's

These three have had swimming lessons and loved it

It was the last day/free day and parents are able to be near
the pool and take pictures. It's always fun to see them progress.

July 14-16, 2016 - BB-8 / Seven Peaks / Real Salt Lake

Mara was invited to go to Lagoon with Morri's family. She had a great time and wants to go back!

Jaina has the beginnings of a cavity and our regular dentist recommended we take her to a pediatric
dentist to get it taken care of. It's situations like this that make her anxiety go through the roof. We
were there for over an hour, trying to talk to her and convince her to just sit in the chair and let
the dentist look. Once he got a look she wouldn't stay in the chair for the actually filling, even though it
would only take less than 2 minutes to do. I even had to hold her down while she was screaming, all the
while Melody was running around the office being followed by an awesome nurse. So we decided
that Jaina would need to take a Lorazepam (to relax her) and come back the following week. UGH!

On Amazon Prime Day we got a killer deal on the Sphero BB-8.
We've been wanting him since he came out in December.

The girls were so crazy excited about him and Melody was treating
him like an animal and wanting him to 'come' to her. It was adorable.

Once again, it was Seven Peaks day!!

This is Pat, Jaina, Mara and Xander on the Avalance.

Mara was showing Melody how she could go under water, and Mel was trying to
copy her, by taking a breath and putting her face in the water. It was so funny!

After swimming we went to the best ice cream in town: Rockwell!  Brent and Lisa's best
friends Justin and Summer own the shop and it's amazing! They have their very
own flavors that they make from scratch every day, along with weekend specials too! We are
obsessed with this place. They are just a block away from the Provo City Center Temple.

The girls just hanging out eating ice cream sandwiches.

Pat and I were able to use Mom and Karri's Real tickets. It was
fun being able to go to a game and have some time to ourselves.

July 13, 2016 - Battlecreek Falls

We heard about this waterfall up Pleasant Grove Canyon called Battlecreek Falls. I've lived in Utah
County my whole life and I never knew about this place. So we decided to see what it's all about.

Melody was happy to find rocks to throw into the river.

Being so close to the waterfall means that you can feel all the mist from it.

Pat is always the adventurous type and he was brave and walked
through the falls. He said it was freezing cold though.

A view of the valley from near the falls.

Later that night, Mara and I were able to go to preview night of JD's play,
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat at Spanish Fork High School.

He did a really great job, even if the direction of the play
was really weird. I love that he still does theater!
