August 8-10, 2016 - Planetarium / Gateway Discovery / Seven Peaks Salt Lake

Melody loves watching movies in our room and I love when she brings her friends with her too.

Jaina was invited to Leisy's birthday party at the splash pad. Melody and I 

came too, This was one of the first times Melody had pizza and she loved it.

We went up to Salt Lake with the kids to check out the Planetarium. It's been a few years since we've 

been, and they were doing a bunch of construction, so it wasn't as fun as it could have been.

Afterwards we headed over to the Gateway Discovery. 

I took the girls in and the boys walked around the mall.

They had this cool ball area that you could put balls into suction 

tubes and watch them go all over and land in different places. 

Mel just loved having a basket full of balls.

There was a cool mini house with a kid sized kitchen!

Even a supermarket!!

With a checkout counter that really worked!

Next we found the pinewood derby cars that you could put together with Lego's.

When we were all done we got ice cream cones from Dairy Queen!

We went to the Salt Lake Seven Peaks with Morri, Liza & Addi.

Oh how I love summer time!

August 1-7, 2016 - Bridal Veil Falls / Springville Splash Pad / Seven Peaks / Peter Pan

We took an afternoon trek up to Bridal Veil Falls. I love summer 

time and being able to have adventures with the kids.

The water was so cold, as usual.

Melody and her favorite thing: throwing rocks into the water.

I can't believe it! Xander is all registered for JUNIOR HIGH!!!  How did that happen?!?!?

The girls and I met up with Lana, Maddox and Olivia at the Springville Splash Pad.

Melody was loving all the statues

She was trying to help the statue drink a bottle of water!!

I'm glad that the kids love their cousins and that they have a great time together.

We got to take Aunt Karri to Seven Peaks with us this time.

With Xander getting older we have been able to take advantage of it. We put the little 

girls to bed, have him stay up, and we go see a movie. This time it was Suicide Squad.

We had a friends dinner with Kenny & Susan and Jared & Aubrey. Melody was 

having so much fun with Jared's little one Porter. He is 3 months younger 

than Melody. They were chasing and playing with the cat the whole time.

The Orem Hale was putting on Peter Pan again (the same way from 2 

years ago) They even had the same actor play Peter that did it before.
