Comic Con Day 3

Are you still with me??
Day 3: Karri wearing her awesome Dr. Horrible shirt, waiting for the Trolley.
Karri & I waiting to get on the exhibit floor.
There was a guy in a Pikachu costume and if you look closely you can see Pat's head above it!

This is Bodie Olmos he plays Brendan 'Hot Dog' Costanza on "Battlestar Galactica". He was giving autographs, but he is kind of a minor character. So I just grabbed a picture as we walked by. I am just wishing that I would have bought an autograph of Aaron Douglas last year :(

We got in line for the Joss Whedon, and got in to see a "Stargate: Atlantis" panel.
These pics are for you Gwen!!!
Joe Flanigan (I don't know what he's been on, but he sure is cute) / Robert Picardo (he used to be on "Star Trek Voyager")

Jewel Staite (she was on "Firefly"and the movie "Serenity")

Then it was time for Joss Whedon (the creator of "Buffy", "Angel" and "Firefly", just to name a few) and the gang from "Dr. Horrible's Sing A-Long Blog"!!

I realize that I haven't explained what "Horrible" is. Joss Whedon made a TV show of sorts for the internet about Dr. Horrible(Neil) and Captain Hammer (Nathan). It was only up for a very short time, but we were able to buy it on iTunes. They are going to put it on DVD soon too. It's so funny, the songs are amazing, and it leaves you wanting more.
My description doesn't do it justice, but when it comes out, I recommend everyone buy it! You'll love it!! (Actually you can still watch it online so go watch it now)

A few group shots: Simon Helberg (from "Big Bang Theory"), Felicia Day (she was on some "Buffy" episodes, this is who Karri & I got our picture with on Day 2 and I posted the picture already), Neil Patrick Harris (from "How I Met Your Mother"), and Nathan Fillion (from "Firefly")

A close up of Neil. We were sitting kind of close to a screen, so the pictures aren't that straight.
Afterwards they were signing pictures for those that won the drawing. So I got in the crowd and took some more pictures.

Joss Whedon / Neil Patrick Harris

Nathan Fillion

Pat & I went to a He-Man panel and there were girls dressed up like Teela and Evillyn

This is Robert Picardo (from Star Trek Voyager) and Jonathan Frakes (from Star Trek: The Next Generation) They were also doing autographs. I would have totally bought an autograph 8 years ago, but I have matured enough to just take a picture and move on. LOL (I would have loved to get in a picture with them, but that would have cost $15, and that is using my own camera for the picture. That's just ridiculous!!)

Pat, Me and Karri at the Sci Fi booth!
Huge LEGO Batman and Robin!!
Pat with a few Mandolorians from Star Wars!!
Pat loves Boba Fett!!
Ok, day 3 is over. I will post day 4 tomorrow, then I will give you a blogging break :)
Thanks for sticking with me!

The Con Day 2

Just a reminder, there are alot of pictures :)
Day 2: Pat on the trolley
Me and Karri (on the trolley)
Pat with a life sized Jabba the Hutt
The first panel that we went to was for Battlestar Galactica. Usually you have to wait in line for a long time to even get into the rooms, so we went early, got in, and watched part of a panel discussion about a new TV show called "KINGS". It sounded interesting. But the best part was that Greg Grunberg from "Heroes" was the moderator!! (picture #1) Then picture #2 are people from BSG!! R-L: Dr. Kevin Grazier (scientific advisor for the show), Tom DeSanto (he was going to make a BSG of his own!), Richard Hatch (actor on the original BSG, now on the new one also. And whom I got my picture with that I already posted), and Bear McCreary (composer for the show, I have some of his music in my playlist)

Afterwards, Karri and I ran downstairs and outside and got in line for the "Twilight" panel. We waited for at least 30 minutes or longer to get in. But we made it!! There were so many crazy girls there with home made Twilight shirts, it was funny!
(This is us in line) (We were sharing my iPod, listening to "Dr. Horrible's Sing A-Long Blog")
We got in for the panel and "Twilight" was grouped in with 2 other movies. "Push" that is starring Djimon Hounsou, Chris Evans (from Fantastic 4), Camilla Belle (from 10,000 BC) and Dakota Fanning, she was stuck in traffic and missed the panel. The first picture gives a sense of how big the room is, the middle bottom of the picture is the actual stage, then there are5 big screens so we could see what was going on on the stage. I think that room held 1500 people. There was another movie that they talked about called "Knowing" with Nicholas Cage, but no actors from the movie were there.
Then it was "Twilight" time / Group picture
(Catherine Hardwicke (the director), Stephenie Meyer, Edward, Bella, James, Victoria, Laurent, Jacob)
Stephenie Meyer / Taylor Lautner "Jacob"
Kristen Stewart "Bella" / group shot of "Edward" "Bella" and "James"
Robert Pattinson "Edward"
Afterwards there was a panel for "Race to Witch Mountain" that has Carla Gugino and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. It looked fun. I remember watching the original movies when I was younger, so it will be fun to see the new one. When they were done we got to see a trailer for "TRON 2". It was totally amazing!! I am so excited, but it won't come out for at least another year :(

Are you tired of my post yet????
Afterwards we went to the floor and I found a display for the upcoming Indiana Jones toys!! I am so jazzed about it! So Karri took my picture with the toys :) They are doing 3 sets from "Temple of Doom"(in september) and 3 sets from "Last Crusade" (in october)
Indy & Willie Scott / Short Round & Temple Thug
Mola Ram & Temple Priest / Indy & Elsa Schneider
Indy & Henry Jones / Grail Knight & Col. Vogel

This is the front of the Mattel booth. A giant Castle Grayskull. Needless to say, Pat was very excited about it.
Here is Pat with the Cylon.
And us horsing around.
There was a fun Star Trek booth that had a replica of Captain Kirk's chair. So we each took a turn in it.

And that's it for day 2. Stay tuned to more pictures from days 3 and 4!

Comic Con Trip Day 1

Ok, so I'm realizing that I have a ton of pictures from the trip. I would make a bunch of slide shows but Pat has requested that I post the pictures. So there will be a different post for each day of the Con, so bare with me.
We got to San Diego on Wednesday afternoon, checked in, and headed to the convention center. Our hotel was in a prime spot with the trolley station right across the street and a mall just behind that!! So we got tickets and rode the trolley all weekend. We went to the convention center for the Pre-View Night. So pretty much we could get on the exhibit floor and buy stuff, but there weren't any pannels going on.
Me and Pat on our first trolley ride.

Just a glimpse of the convention center. It's about 4 times bigger then the picture lets on.

This is a taste of the crowd. We were in line to go inside and get our badges for the duration. They filter everyone upstairs and over to the next building to get badges, then you have to go back over, and wait in line to go back downstairs to get to the exhibit floor. It's crazy.

Me and Karri waiting to go to the exhibit floor.

Me and Pat in line. (I love this picture, we are such a cute couple)

The exhibit floor is full of booths that are all promotional for different things. This is on the corner of the LEGO booth. Indiana Jones completely made from LEGOs!!!
Pat with a huge statue of King Grayskull from He-Man. This was outside of the Mattel booth.
A life sized Centurion Cylon from Battlestar Galactica.

I Love My Sister

Today is my sister Karri's Birthday! I just wanted to let her know how much I love her. She is my best friend and I'm so glad that we get along and that we are able to vacation together. Right now we (Pat, Karri and I) are on our way to San Diego for Comic Con! I am so excited! It's going to be alot of fun.
