December 2011 Part 1

*I am making a goal to get caught up with my blog before the end of the year, and then to keep up on it.
So here we go!!

December was a busy month so we'll post in parts.

Jaina: she discovered how to open the cupboard and decided that she liked Mini-Wheats!

We made our traditional trek to the the Provo Towne Center Mall to meet Santa!

Just a sweet pic of my little one.
Oh how she loves her blanket.

We went with the whole Ramey Clan up to Temple Square in Salt Lake to see the Christmas Lights.
This statue is amazing!  I am so grateful to be able to see it during the Christmas season to remember WHY we celebrate it. I am thankful for my Savior and all he has done for me.

Remember how I said she can open the cupboard???
Gotta love the Cheerios!

Mana got Jaina and Finley matching jammies as early Christmas presents, they even matched Aunt Karri!

My mom and I had been working on Book of Mormon Quilts! They turned out so cute!
I didn't finish mine fully until a few months later.

Little Miss J, always sitting in ANYTHING that she can, even if it's too small.

Mara's Christmas program at Bonneville School.
Last day of school before Christmas break.

Mara's school class: Bonneville 2011

Mara & Mrs. Christiansen: Kindergarten

Xander's school class: Bonneville 2011

November 2011

Xander & Mara on the day of their Primary Program
(end of October)

Xander turned 8 in October and chose to be baptized a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on November 5th.

Family Picture before the main event.

My newly baptized little boy!!  It was such a great day filled with the spirit! I'm so proud of him for making this choice and pray that he can always be close and depend on the Holy Ghost.

We are so lucky to have such an amazing family to come a support us on Xander's special day.

We had a really dry winter, but in the middle of Nov, we had a fair amount of snow and let Jaina experience it for a bit.  Her hands were pretty cold when we went inside (she wouldn't wear her gloves), so she cried for a bit because she didn't want to move them.  It was pretty funny.

A sweet pic of Mara and her Uncle JD.

There was a house built in Herriman to look like the house from the Pixar Movie UP! Over fall break we were able to take a tour through it!  It was amazing, and the kids really loved it.

There was a park across the street that Jaina LOVED. And I love that X & M want to help her down the slide all the time.  They're such great older siblings.

Thanksgiving!
Dad thought it was funny to give Xan a mohawk. It didn't last long with his thick heavy hair.

Me and my little one on Thanksgiving!

Halloween 2011

I know I keep saying it, but ONE of these day's I'll get caught up on my blog!
Here's the 6th Annual Ramey Family Halloween Party

I actually WANTED to dress up this year.
Here's my sad attempt at being JEM!

Xander = JEDI!

Mara = Ariel

Jaina = Minnie Mouse

She didn't like the bow in her hair :(

Pat even dressed up!!!!
Magnum P.I.

I made this ADORABLE Merriweather costume for my niece Finley.

Too bad we didn't have a Flora & Fauna to go with her.

FAMILY PICTURE!!!

My mom ALWAYS has fun crafts for the kids to make at the party.

Max = Harry Potter, Conli = Alice, Sawyer = Jessie, Mara = Ariel, Xander = Jedi

On the actual Trick or Treat day, we visited Mana at work.

My nephew Carter was an Aircraft Carrier!!!

I decided to go without the wig for trick or treating, but LOVED (not really) the mustache that my hubby was sporting!

Tolman Grandkids

Family picture at the end of the night!

Fun was had by all!

Temple Square Trip - Oct 2011

During the school Fall Break, we took a trip up to Salt Lake and visited Temple Square. We don't go there very often. I really wanted pics of the kids with the Temple so I can frame them for their bedrooms.
(this was almost 6 months ago, and I have yet to frame them)

We went to the Church History Museum and toured the Children's area. It was great because it was all hands on!!
Here they are with a replica of the Angel Moroni statues that are placed on the top of all the temples.  I think this one was a little smaller than the real ones, but still very cool!

Here you can help Mormon abridge the plates by copying the text onto the chalk board.

Xander and Mara just loved this part. They got to fish off of Lehi & Nephi's boat!

Here they were building a temple!

There was even a place to make a quilt!

More pictures in front of the temple.

Across the street (in the new City Creek area) there was a fun fountain, that Mara pointed out, made the letter M!! She was quite excited about it.

Another fun fountain!

It was a fun little day trip.
