May 2016 - Jaina Kindergarten Graduation

Once again, I love seeing my kids doing things together, because it feels like they are fighting all the time.

Jaina got to celebrate her birthday early at school, since it's after school is out.
She was so excited to be able to take a treat to share with her friends.

Crazy hair happens only when Dad bathes the girls.

Mara and her good friend Abby Hoyt painting on a canvas that Mara got for Christmas.

Mara was teaching Melody the fine art of licking the bowl/spoon after dessert has been made.

Jaina's tooth on the bottom has been loose for a little bit, but while brushing
her teeth, I noticed that the new tooth is growing in behind the baby
one. Looks like we'll have to work on getting those teeth to come out.

I babysat Pat's cousin Jared's kids for a few hours one day. The baby, Tanner was
loving Melody and she was cute and was showing him her books. But as he would
inch closer to her, she would inch away. It was so funny to watch them interact.

An updated tooth picture: getting really loose, but won't let mom and dad wiggle it at all.

I had started the day out by giving Melody at bath at 6:40 am. She had been sick
in the night and needed to be cleaned up. Luckily she still gave me a smile.

Melody has really loved the puzzles at Mana's house, so when we went
to the store we found this Disney alphabet one for her. She was doing
really well with it on the first try and even put the letters into color groups!!

May 20th: Jaina's last day of Kindergarten
We got her all dolled up for her graduation program. She was in the AM kindergarten class, but
on this last day of school, the program wasn't until the afternoon. She was so antsy and wanted
to go to school about 2 hours before we could go. She has a hard time waiting for everything.

At her program. They sang some songs and had fun!

The very last song was "If W Hold on Together" from The Land Before Time. She had been singing
this for a few weeks, so I knew that it was going to be in the program. But when they sang it I
started to cry a little bit. It's such a great song and reminds me of when I was little like her.

The principle: Mr Anderson and her teacher Mrs. Eckhardt

Mana was able to come a support her on her big day.

I made sure to get pictures of her with her friends.

Kaylee Horrocks
After I took this picture, she leaned over to Kaylee and said, "Sorry, my mom likes to take
pictures a lot, she's kinda weird." I laughed about that for awhile. Oh the things kids say.

One last picture with Mrs. Eckhardt. She has been an amazing
teacher for Jaina and made Kindergarten a great experience.

May 2016 - Mother's Day

I love that the kids still get the Geo Trax out to play. It's really cute to see the 3 girls playing with trains.

It's so odd to me that Melody likes to sleep with her head covered.
There's so much in her crib that you can barely find her.

This was May the 4th be with you day, so I made sure that Melody and I were wearing our Star Wars shirts.

Lisa and I had talked about taking the kids to get new pictures for Mom's birthday, but we both forgot. Luckily, Mother's day was coming up soon so we booked an appt and got new pics! Melody was REALLY cranky and didn't want to be in the pictures, so I'm amazed that we actually got a few that turned out pretty good!

At the photo studio there were people dressed for Star Wars day, and
in perfect Jaina fashion, she asked it she could wear this helmet.

And then Mara had to have a turn too!

Melody looks so sweet when she sleeps.

These are the moments that I love. Mara and Melody watching a
movie on Mara's kindle, on the floor all curled up in a blanket.

We were so excited to see Captain America Civil War that we got decked out for it.

While we were at our movie, Mana and Karri were watching Melody and
Jaina. They decided to take them up to the Museum of Curiosity at Thanksgiving
Point. They had a great time, except for when Jaina got lost (of course).

Afterwards we met up at Wendy's to get the girls.

Mother's Day
The one day a year I get a picture with my kids, because I'm usually the one taking the pictures.

Sadly, this was the best picture we could get with Grandma Tolman

For Mana, we all chipped in and got her some new Disney charms for her Pandora necklace

And gave her the new pictures of the kids.

Me and my Momma.

We sure love our Grandmas!!!!

End of April

The big kids love watching Melody play her "DS"

After the fun scavenger hunt we shopped a bit at Target and my boys were being cute with Melody.

Mara had gone with Brent & Lisa to Conli's soccer game that was in Spanish Fork and this was the picture that I got from Lisa. It was so windy and cold and Mara was not dressed for the occasion, so it's a good thing that they had warm clothes and a blanket in their car.

At Mana's house all the kids like to play with her bow & arrow sets. There are a bunch of extra arrows and Melody likes to find them and play along with all the kids. What's even more cute is that when they were all done, she brought them all in and put them away!! (Mom keeps them in a large vase behind the door of her craft room)

Pat was working on the sprinklers and Melody had a great time playing with all the rocks.

We've been watching a lot of Daniel Tiger lately and Melody picked up on the potty episode and told me she wanted to go potty. So I got out the little chair and she would sit on it (fully clothed) and say she was going potty. It makes me laugh. I'm sure it will be awhile before she wants to potty train but at least she is getting a little glimpse of it.

Jaina had her field trip to Hogle Zoo and my neighbor was there as a helper and sent me this picture of Jaina at lunch time.

Pat and I have started making puzzles lately and this was a big one. We spent the good part of Sunday watching a few movies and working on it and we had it about 75% done. Well Monday morning, Melody got to it without my knowledge and destroyed it ALL!!!! I was speechless when I found it. After a few minutes of staring in disbelief, I grabbed some bowls and started separating the edges, and the noticeable parts we had worked on the night before. Then I spent a lot of the day, trying to re-do some of it before Pat got home from work so it wouldn't be so bad.
Needless to say, we have changed how we do puzzles and always put them away when we're not working on them.

I just love this picture. Mara was playing her Kindle and Melody had to join her.
