So this just happened a few hours ago! I am such a klutz and was just following Mara to the bathroom and stubbed my foot on a metal kids chair that Mara left in the hallway. I KNOW, SO STUPID!!!! Of course it hurt so badly but I still had to help her in the bathroom. When we were done, my mom helped me get some ice and lay down on the couch. I was nervous to take my sock off because of the pain, and when I did, my toe was going the wrong way!!! So that's when I started crying. So I'm laying on the couch and had my mom call her sister that is a nurse. She said that it would just need to be taped and that's all that can be done for toes. Then I call Pat and tell him what happened, and of course start to cry all over again, because I was nervous and scared that it was broken. After I calmed down, I called my doctors office, but they were closed. So my mom called hers and got the address for their new InstaCare that is really close to us. We decided to go there and called Chris (my bro-in-law) to come over and stay with the kids while we were gone. When we got to the InstaCare there wasn't anyone ahead of us. So after filling out paperwork I got into a room, then did a few x-rays. I took pictures of the x-rays with my phone. We were only at the InstaCare for about an hour, which was great not to wait too long! Now I have my toes taped and have a walking shoe, because I was having to hop on my right foot to get anywhere. I just have to wear it for awhile and go into the office in 8 weeks for a follow up x-ray!!
What a great way to start off a new year!!

Oh how painful!!!I'm glad you got a walking boot so you can get around better.
We are such rock band fans too! The drums are my favorite, I love it!
OUCH! That sounds PAINFUL! So sorry! I did something like that a few years ago just after New Years. I was going out the door and twisted my ankle, fell into our tin snowman and ended up being bruised, battered, and had a sprained ankle at the start of the New Year. Make sure you milk it for all its worth!:cP
Breanne -
I am so sorry to hear that you broke your toe. That is not fun at all. Your broken toe made me remember a funny story - my older sister broke her toe when we were teenagers. She was chasing me and kicked me in the butt and broke her toe. Buns of steel - that's me!
I'm sorry to say that reading that made me laugh! I mean, I'm sorry you broke a bone but that overall story is funny :) By they way - Scott digs the Star Trek countdown!
It's okay that you laughed Stef! I did too. It was a very stupid way to break a bone.
Anyway, it's a friends job to laugh at me!!
so sorry. Too bad it's a body part you use ALL the time. Good luck and at least this is an excuse to not have to do too much.
Ouch! Glad to hear it's feeling better today. Darn kids leaving things in the hallway!:)
I hope it's not slowing you down too much, OR it's the "break" you needed to rest.
Oh goodness girl! I did the same thing to myself a few years back. I didn't go to the doc though, they can't do anything anyway. I couldn't wear real shoes for 8 weeks and for the first few days I was wearing slippers to work with my suits. I looked like such a dork! I hope you heal quickly!
