Tid Bits

Here are some tid bits from the past week.
On New Years when we were at Morri & Liza's, Mara found one of Addi's Tinkerbell dress ups. I just love the picture.
The past 6+ months Mara has only worn nightgowns to go to sleep. This all started because she would take her jammies (top and pants) off in the middle of the night and I would find her in only a diaper in the morning, but she wouldn't do this with nightgowns. Anyway, we got a bag of hand-me-downs that were Addi's clothes and there were these really cute jammies in them. Pat put her in the jammies the other night and she loved them!!!
I have had to put together Xander's Dinosaur Lego set a few different times and these are the results.
After about 7 weeks of potty training Mara finally finished her chart. I had actually stopped putting stickers on for awhile, because she didn't need the encouragement anymore. So the past few days we have made sure to fill it all the way up!! I am so proud of her. I always thought that when the potty training was done that we would get out the toddler bed for her. And we did!!!! She has spent 1 night in her new bed and did better then I thought she would. She only got up 2 times. Once because of Xander going to the bathroom, and the other because she thought her bed was wet. She still got up about 8:30 and was so happy to be able to get out of bed by herself. I just hope that she will do better tonight.
As many of you know, I have been collecting the Indiana Jones Adventure Heroes guys. I originally bought only the guys from Raiders and Temple of Doom. I was also able to send away for this guy!! For some reason I had decided that I didn't want to get the ones from Crystal Skull, until I found out that I probably wouldn't be able to find the ones from Last Crusade anywhere because all the Indy toys are on clearance at all the stores. So I finally decided to buy the Crystal Skull guys and was lucky enough to find them at Toys R Us!!!
Indiana Jones & Col. Dovchenko
Indiana Jones & Ugha Warrior
Mutt Williams & Irina Spalko
(Side note: I was able to find the Last Crusade guys on eBay today and bought them!!! Thanks again Mom for the money from Christmas!!! I will post pictures when I get them)
The same day I got my guys we went to IKEA and I got a few shelves for our room. Because Pat had to take over the last shelf in the bookcase and kicked out my pictures so I needed somewhere to put them. I was able to find some plain wood shelves and painted them black. It was only 8 bucks to get the 2 shelves & brackets, I already had the black paint, and then got some varnish for 5 bucks. I love being able to do fun projects for cheap. Now I need to get some new pictures for the frames. I have 3 pictures of Xander as a baby, and none of Mara. My sister Karri had given me an idea for a good way to display pins. I have glued foam on frames then pushed the pins through. So I have a picture (bottom shelf, far left) of Pat & I during the 2002 Olympics, right before we got married, and I have a bunch of Pins from the Olympics on it. It's such a great way to remember that time. There is another one of Karri, Mom, & Me when we were in Disneyland, and I have some pins on the frame from that trip. And these shelves are great for my Indy guys too!!
Btw: My toe is doing okay. The upper part of my foot is pretty green still, but I'm able to walk without the shoe (I only wear it when I'm out of the house). It's hard to keep it elevated all the time with the kids running around all day. But I've been able to finish a cross stitch and crochet some more on a blanket that has been sitting for probably a year! I will spare everyone real pictures of the foot, the x-ray will have to be enough.

Sorry to hear about your toe! Yikes! That sounds painful.

I still think that the "stone" he is holding looks like a fruitsnack.

Wow, you've had some big exciting things. LOVE the dinosaur and all your action figures are way cool.

I think mom's are better at putting together toys then kids are. They get all the practice. : )
